Vietnam logistics industry factsheet
After being severely impacted by the COVID - 19 pandemic in 2021, Vietnam's logistics industry recorded a strong recovery in all areas in the first quarter of 2022.
The forwarding service, specifically, proliferated as a result of the vibrancy of the trade, in general, and the boom of e-commerce, in particular.
The warehousing sub-sector was also considered to have significant growth potential in the near future. Furthermore, road transport was still the most preferred mode of transportation in the 1st Quarter of 2022. The total volume transported and circulated on the road reached 395.5 million tons and 29.2 billion tons.km respectively, which increased by X% and X% over the same period in 2021.
With this situation, Vietnam's logistics services are expected to grow at a rate of X percent per year until 2025.
In the 4th quarter of 2022, there would be a new appearance of Hoa Phat corporation in the container-producing sector. This would aid in resolving the logistics industry’s difficulty caused by a severe shortage of empty containers shipped from abroad to Vietnam.
