As the overall economy did not perform as expected, grocery spending was affected as a result. Sales of grocery retailers did not recover as expected from their recent slowdown. Although value growth in 2015 was slightly higher than in 2014, the value increase was driven primarily by increasing unit prices across products within grocery retailers rather than significant volume growth. Inflation recorded the high rate of 8% over 2013 and 2014, and it was expected to be slightly lower in 2015 yet...
