While red meat saw further price increases in 2015, rising by 2%, this was lower than the increase of 3% seen in 2014. Beef and veal saw 2% volume growth in 2015, but the lamb, mutton and goat category saw an uptick in performance, achieving 2% growth compared with the 6% decline seen in 2014. This was underpinned by lower price growth and some increase in consumer spending power.
