Description:

CCM has finished a market report named Future of Modified Starch in Asia Pacific in Dec. 2010. In order to meet clients’ different demands and provide more low-price products, we separated it into many sub-reports with different specific themes. Mass Flow Survey of Modified Starch in Asia Pacific is one of the sub-reports.

With stably increasing demand for modified starch, the mass flow of modified starch among six major AP countries shows a trend of further expansion. According to the statistic data, Thailand is the largest modified starch exporter in AP and the EU’s largest import origin of modified starch in AP. And the analysis result shows that among EU countries, Netherlands is one of a major import origin of modified starch in AP. The U.S. as the largest modified starch manufacturer and consumer in the world, totally exported around *** tonnes of modified starch in 2009.

This sub-report not only deeply analyzes the logistic situation of modified starch among the six AP countries, including China, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia and South Korea, but also analyzes the circulation of modified starch in AP between the EU and the U.S. There are mainly four aspects included, internal logistics cost for raw materials and modified starch, tariffs on raw materials and modified starch, the conversion between modified starch and its materials, import & export analysis of six major AP countries and these countries with other regions, such as the EU and the U.S.

The section “internal logistics cost for raw materials and modified starch” shows the difference of the logistics cost in the six major AP countries, of which Japan has the lowest logistics cost and Indonesia has the highest one. The logistics cost is divided into six parts and the difference of each country are detailed introduced.

The section “tariffs on raw materials and modified starch” introduces the newest tariffs information about raw materials and modified starch in six major countries, the data are from customs of each country. It provides a clear view of customs policies and the different of six major countries.

The section “the conversion between modified starch and its materials” well analyzes the value chain between modified starch and its raw materials, which give a detailed conversion volume and rate of raw materials into corresponding modified starch. It contains comprehensive information about the situation of output, import and export and consumption volume of raw materials and modified starch in each country.

The section “import & export analysis of six major AP countries and other regions” covers such content as import and export of modified starch among the six major countries, and that of these countries with the other regions like the EU and the US. The readers can get a clearer perspective about output and consumption of modified starch in the six major countries and comprehensive knowledge of modified starch industry in each country.
