This latest report in our flagship series contains statistical data, information and insight into the textile and apparel industries in Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Turkey. The report presents a wealth of information, and is essential for anyone who is considering sourcing from, selling to or investing in these countries or their export markets. In particular, the report includes detailed information on domestic production and exports of textiles and clothing by type and destination. In Egypt, textile and clothing imports increased in 2017, reflecting increases in exports to most of Egypt's major foreign markets during the year. In Morocco, clothing exports and production increased in 2017— reflecting strong sales in the EU and the USA—but textile production fell. There was an increase in textile and clothing exports from Tunisia in 2017, and production of textiles, clothing and leather products also increased following declines in the previous two years. Meanwhile, textile and clothing exports from Turkey increased in 2017, reflecting increases in exports to the EU and the USA.
