This segment targets telecom equipment manufacturers that integrate its optical technology into the systems they offer to the telecommunications carriers that are building, upgrading, and operating optical networks. The company supplies core optical network technology to telecom equipment companies worldwide.

The company designs, manufactures, and markets optical components, modules, and subsystems that generate, detect, amplify, combine, and separate light signals in telecommunications networks. These products include tunable lasers, pump lasers, modulators and receivers, transceivers, transponders, optical amplifiers, reconfigurable optical add drop multiplexers (ROADMs), and other value-added subsystems. The company’s products include tunable lasers and corresponding module level products, wavelength selective switching products and tunable dispersion compensation products.

Telecom Products

Tunable Laser Transmitters: The company’s tunable laser products include discrete lasers and co-packaged laser modulators. Its tunable products at the component level include an InP tunable laser chip, a 10 Gb/s integrated tunable laser assembly (iTLA) and a 10 Gb/s co-packaged laser modulator tunable mach-zender. It also supplies its tunable components into its customer’s 40 Gb/s products. The company supplies these and related components into substantially all 40 Gb/s solutions.

Fixed Wavelength Laser Transmitters: The company’s fixed laser products include discrete lasers and co-packaged laser modulators. Its fixed wavelength products at the component level are designed for both long-haul and metro applications at 2.5 Gb/s and 10 Gb/s and include a InP laser chips, a 10Gb/s laser and a 10Gb/s co-packaged laser and mach-zender modulator.
