U.S. Energy Information Administration(EIA)showed in its forecast report (Dec 2009) that 2009 would be the year in which the global demand for petroleum registered an all-time low ever since 2005. In 2009 China natural crude oil had a cumulative output volume of 189.4897 million tons; there proves to be a fall in the output volume of crude oil compared to the previous year and the import volume kept climbing. The cumulative output volume of natural gas in 2009 was some 82.992 billion square meters, which basically maintained the growth momentum on year-on-year basis despite the growth rate lower than the same period of the year before.
