AFT Yarns has developed a new high performance yarn which is lightweight, and has high levels of insulation properties and moisture wicking properties. Lenzing has introduced a black version of its Lenzing flame resistant (FR) fibre, and claims that the new version is the first and only black flame resistant cellulosic fibre on the market.
In the medical apparel sector, Delrus has introduced Ansell Healthcare’s range of Encore surgical gloves in Russia, and Medelita has introduced its first range of scrubs for male clinicians.
P2i and Global Armour have developed a new protective vest for emergency responders and the military. The vest has been treated with P2i’s liquid repellent nano-coating in order to provide it with water and oil repellent properties and, more importantly, protection against harmful chemicals.
