Advansa has introduced a softer and more supple version of its Thermo°Cool fibre, called Thermo°Cool Soft’Tech, while AFT Yarns has developed a new lightweight yarn which provides a high level of insulation as well as moisture management properties. In apparel developments, Eurotex Tekstil has become the first company to introduce a collection of seamless garments made from Advansa’s Biophyl fabric, which contains yarns derived from a renewable source. Onward Kashiyama has introduced a biodegradable suit which is able to break down in landfills in about one year. Canadian researchers have developed a range of prototype garments which are said to be capable of providing wearers with emotional support. And China Access Marketing (CAML) has become the first manufacturer of Thermo°Cool socks in Asia.

Meanwhile, Anne Selby has introduced its Compleat Arashi Shibori pleating machine, which has been designed to provide a one-stop facility for the production of high quality pleated fabric products.
