Borealis: HDPE Line in Beringen to Close in March 2010

A company spokeswoman told PIE that polyolefins producer Borealis (Vienna / Austria; www.borealisgroup.com) will close its 220,000 t/y HDPE plant in Beringen / Belgium as early as 31 March 2010.
Belgian media reports had speculated earlier that the facility would finally close its doors during the third quarter of 2010.
