Taiwanese Mobile Phone Shipments Trends Examined by MIC in Topical Report Available at MarketPublishers.com

24 Aug 2016 • by Natalie Aster

LONDON – In the 1st quarter of the current year, the total shipments of the Taiwanese smartphones plunged just over 23% sequentially and reached 8.6 million units. This is attributed to the delayed launch of flagship products by the local branded vendors and also to sluggish iPhone shipments.

Furthermore, the 2nd quarter of this year will likely see the weakest shipment performance, registering an 8.4% fall in comparison with the 1st quarter, as the volume production of the next-generation iPhone is expected in the 3rd quarter and the local branded vendors are not going to ship their novel products until the 2nd half of 2016.

The insightful report “The Taiwanese Mobile Phone Industry, 2Q 2016” prepared by Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute (MIC) offers a detailed guide to the Taiwanese mobile phone sector with a focus on the sector’s performance in the recent quarter. It contains trustworthy updated statistics on mobile shipments value, volume and APS; explores the prices dynamics, gives data on the local branded vendors and their shipments, offers shipment breakdowns by display, system technology, OS, production location and destination. Future forecasts are also at hand.
