LONDON – In the USA, iOS owners prevail over Android owners and smartphone users. Slightly under 70 percent of US smartphone owners listen streaming music on a daily basis and more than 70 percent of owners of smartphones watch short video clips. However, users spend more time listening to music than watching videos.

Apple dominates the US marketplace, and Samsung is one the number two player. LG is also in the top three in this country. Over 30 percent of Apple iPhone owners have models released more than two years ago, while this figure is a little bit lower amongst Samsung users.

Voice recognition systems enjoy high popularity in the USA, and 39 percent of owners of smartphones use them, and the Apple platform dominates this space. It is followed by Android.

Social networking systems are also popular. 80 percent of smartphone owners use them at least one time per day and more than 34.5 percent spend one hour or even more on this activity.
