Celanese Corp. Plans on Expanding its Ethanol Market Share According to BAC Report

LONDON - The company has discovered a new efficient ethanol manufacturing process. The preparation works have already begun, but the production will start only in 2013. Recently Celanese announced its plans to accelerate industrial ethanol production in China, adding 200,000 tons of ethanol in the Nanjing facility by mid-2013 to the volumes projected. The Corporation also set up a facility in Clear Lake, Texas as ethanol technology development base; expected to get launched by mid-2012. Celanese will also construct a new R&D facility in Clear Lake to further develop and advance TCX™ technology. The enterprise has all the chances to significantly increase its ethanol market share by 2015.
Company’s recent performance was strong. Both revenues and net incomes showed confident growth, reaching USD 1753 M and USD 203 M respectively. 2011 outlook now looks even brighter than before.
FY 2010 results laid a solid base for Celanese success. Revenues rose by 16.5% and amounted USD 5918 M. Net income equaled USD 377 M, a 24.3% decrease. Overall economic situation shows recovery trends, as volumes increase and prices rise.
