Telecommunications Industry in Armenia: Current State, Challenges and Prospects
This research is one of the Ameria’s Sectorial researches covering different economic industries in Armenia. Focus of the current research is Telecommunication industry. The research covers such sub-sectors as mobile services, Internet access services, landline services, cable TV services, and the use of respective appliances and devices (cell phones, laptops, tablets, TV sets, etc.). The report is based on primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected through population survey in Yerevan, with the representative sample of 1061 respondents. Secondary data are based on available statistical information and telecommunication company reports.

Data collected through population sample survey allow estimating indicators characterizing demand –side in Telecommunication industry of Armenia. Particularly, it covers population interests, preferences, main factors affecting use of each type of telecommunication services.
