Telco in a box: a blueprint for greenfield operators
Earlier in 2009, a number of systems integrators launched ‘telco in a box’ (TIB) solutions, offering a complete suite of prefabricated, integrated operational support systems (OSSs) and business support systems (BSSs) which allow telcos to fast-track their entire IT support systems rollout. For telcos, TIB solutions offer a number of advantages over solutions procured and implemented in-house, including reduced time to market and lower start-up costs. This report examines why TIB solutions are an attractive option, particularly for emerging market operators.
