Application lifecycle management (ALM) solutions provider MKS had a relatively stable year in calendar 2009, with revenues falling only 4% during the first half of fiscal 2010 (which ended 31 October 2009) in spite of the global recession. The business has remained profitable, with net income up 12% and 53% during fiscal 2009 and 1H10, respectively. MKS has renewed its focus on the large enterprise segment, launched Integrity 2009, the latest version of its flagship ALM product, and beefed up its sales organization. With several mandates in hand and a strong maintenance and service revenue base, growth over the next couple of years will depend on how well MKS markets its latest release.
