Originally known for the popular open source Subversion SCCM system, CollabNet has steadily built & acquired its way to a broader portfolio of ALM solutions covering planning and lifecycle mgmt. of software development, agile program mgmt., and lab mgmt. in the cloud. Recently, CollabNet acquired Codesion, the largest third party cloud service provider for Subversion.

Features and benefits
  • CollabNet pioneered software development in the cloud with Subversion.
  • Subversion was one of the first of the modern wave of lighter weight, low cost SCCM thyat helped commoditize this market.
  • While CollabNet rode the post-2000 wave of global development, it didn't catch on with agile until the 2010 acquistion of Danube.

TeamForge is CollabNet's application lifecycle management hub and core planning engine. Although TeamForge supports agile project management, the recently-acquired ScrumWorks product remains CollabNet's primary agile tool at the team level.

CollabNet has energetically promoted SCCM (source code change and configuration management) in the cloud.

CollabNet has recently entered a strategic partnership with HP Software that addresses its major gap: quality and requirements management.
