Tourism Flows Outbound in Slovenia
In 2013, departures continued its decline from the previous year to register -3% in the number of outgoing trips. Such a decrease in number of trips can be explained by the continued economic difficulties in Europe. However, tourist expenditure recorded 5% growth in 2013 to reach €1.2 million. Such an increase in expenditure showed that consumers who were travelling were willing to spend more in order to have quality or even luxury holidays.
