Short haul operations: This segment operates using the short haul fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft, and Embraer 170 and 190 aircraft. This includes Australian domestic, New Zealand domestic, Trans-Tasman, and Pacific Island flying.

Long haul operations: This segment operates using the Boeing 777 aircraft and includes Trans-Pacific flying.

The Virgin Blue Airlines Group includes Virgin Blue, which includes Pacific Blue, Polynesian Blue, and V Australia. Together Virgin Blue, V Australia, Pacific Blue, and Polynesian Blue provide domestic and international services to approximately 45 destinations across 13 countries covering Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific, as well as North America, South East Asia, South Africa, and Indonesia.

Pacific Blue: New Zealand-based Pacific Blue provides domestic and international services. Domestically, it provides within New Zealand; and internationally, it flies to five destinations, including Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Queenstown.

V Australia: V Australia is an international airline and has launched flight services between Sydney and Los Angeles in February 2009, with its second route between Brisbane and Los Angeles in April 2009. On board V Australia, a 361-seat Boeing 777-300ER aircraft is a three-class cabin, including International Business with 33 lie-flat beds, and International Premium Economy with 40 club seats, as well as 288 International Economy seats.

Agreements

In March 2009, V Australia and Delta Air Lines signed an Australia-U.S. interline agreement. In June 2009, V Australia and Virgin America signed an Australia-U.S interline agreement.
