Vietnam Sugar industry
The 2018/2019 crop year recorded sugar production of 179 million tons, down 7.9% compared to the 2017/2018 season. According to USDA forecasts global crop sugar production for the year
2019/2020 will drop 6 million tons to 174 million tons. The main reason is due to the reduction of sugar production and sugarcane area from India.
