Copper paste is a printable or dispensable functional material in which copper particles serve as the principal conductive or thermally conductive phase and are uniformly dispersed in an organic or inorganic vehicle. A typical formulation contains copper powder, binders, solvents and functional additives, and may also contain glass frit, metal-organic compounds or sintering aids. After screen printing, stencil printing, dispensing or another deposition process, the paste is dried and subsequently cured, sintered or fired to form an electrically conductive electrode, circuit, via, interconnection or bonding layer.
