Sharp defines IGZO as an oxide semiconductor composed of indium, gallium, zinc and oxygen and used as the semiconductor material for display-driving thin-film transistors, while Samsung Display states that oxide thin-film transistors have much higher electron mobility than amorphous silicon and are suitable for higher-resolution displays.
