INTRODUCTION

Chinese wheat starch industry developed stable with a slow growth rate in 2012. The output of the wheat starch was 225 million tons, which is 0.45% growth YOY. In the starch manufacturing industry, the average growth rate was 1.92% and the output was 2.1 million tons.

Chinese starch industry has turned to green and low-pollution since government’s “five-year project”. The current industrial capacity has exceeded 30 million tons yearly, and the trend is keep growing. As the manufacturing technology develops, starch products structure will improve, and the starch products will more diversification.
