Its applications cover both civil and military aviation. The upstream of the industry chain includes carbon/carbon composite materials and friction materials, forgings and high-temperature alloys, seals and hydraulic components, power electronics and automotive-grade control chips/sensors; the midstream consists of system manufacturers with airworthiness certification and material process barriers; and the downstream consists of aircraft manufacturers. Braking systems are typical airborne components with ?high certification barriers + materials/processes + servitization,? with a gross profit margin of approximately 45-60%.
