Energy-conserving and environment-protective industry as well as new energy industry has become new engines to boost economic recovery after the outbreak of global financial crisis, bringing enormous business opportunities. Considering energy-conserving and environment-protective industry as vital foundation of green economy, low-carbon economy and recycling economy, the Chinese government is proceeding with the development planning of energy-saving industry and related new policies. In 2009 environmental protection industry continued its growth momentum, posting a gross sales output of RMB 261.683 billion. Analyzing the environmental protection industry from the perspective of production, trade, market and finance, this report makes suggestions and prediction about the future development of environment-protective industry.
