Patent Analysis for 3 Major Solar Metal Paste Companies (DuPont, Ferro, Heraeus)
In the recent 10 years DuPont, Heraeus and Ferro the three major companies in solar cell metal paste have made 85 patent applications relating to solar cell paste.
In the beginning of year 2000 most of the major key patents were made by Ferro and Dupont. The late comer Heraeus only started to make patent applications from 2009. However, as Heraeus took the lead in market share through rapid growth, DuPont filed a patent (US7767254B2) infringement lawsuit in U.S. Delaware district court against Heraeus.
This report has been written to prevent similar lawsuit cases from occurring in the same industry field such as Dupont Heraeus case and provides direction for future research and patent by intensively analyzing the patents of the major three metal paste companies.
