About Cornerstone Capital Resources Inc.

Cornerstone Capital Resources Inc., through its wholly owned subsidiaries, engages in the evaluation, acquisition and exploration of mineral properties in Canada and Ecuador. The company intends to develop the properties as joint ventures, bring them into production, option or lease properties to third parties, or sell the properties outright.

The company’s subsidiaries include Cornerstone Resources Inc., Cornerstone International Inc., Cornerstone Ecuador S.A., and La Plata Minerales S.A.

As of December 31, 2008, the company has been issued 106 licenses by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, which consist of 9,424 mineral exploration claims covering various areas of Newfoundland and Labrador. Of these 9,424 mineral exploration claims 4,236 are held 50% by Altius Resources Inc. The Government of New Brunswick has issued 14 licenses to the company, which covers 2,092 claims in New Brunswick. The company also holds 28 mineral exploration claims in Ecuador.

Joint Ventures & Strategic Alliances

In 2008, the company signed a definitive Earn-in Joint Venture option agreement with Newmont Ventures Limited (Newmont), a subsidiary of Newmont Mining Corporation with respect to the formation of a regional exploration alliance (Alliance) to explore for gold in southern Ecuador. The Alliance covers an area of approximately 1800 square kilo meters in Southern Ecuador.

In 2008, the company signed a joint venture agreement with Altius Resources Inc. (Altius) to explore primarily for Sediment-hosted Stratiform Copper (SSC) deposits in the Labrador Trough of western Labrador and southeastern Quebec. The 50-50 Joint Venture will cover 51 mineral exploration licenses totaling 1032 square kilo meters in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Both companies contribute their respective mineral land holdings and have staked additional claims.

The company and 50% joint venture partner Thundermin Resources Inc. announced that they have extended the option with Weyburn Investments Limited to earn a 100% interest in the Little Deer copper deposit located approximately 10 kilometers north of Springdale in north-central Newfoundland.

In September 2009, the company has staked 148 mineral claims in the Letitia Lake area of central Labrador. The Letitia Lake area is underlain by Middle Mesoproterozoic peralkaline volcanic and intrusive rocks of the Letitia Lake Group and Red Wine Intrusive Suite respectively, which are prospective for hosting rare metal deposits of Beryllium (Be), Niobium (Nb), and Rare Earth Elements.

Significant Events

On October 14, 2009, Cornerstone Capital Resources Inc. announced the staking of 676 mineral claims (10,816 hectares) in the New Ross area of western Nova Scotia. The New Ross area is underlain by Late Devonian granite intrusions of the New Ross Pluton and related smaller bodies of granite.
