Bajaj Auto Limited engages in the manufacture and sale of two- and three- wheelers in India. The company also has operations in Latin America, Africa, Middle East, South and South East Asia.
The companys vehicle manufacturing capacity is approximately 3.96 million units comprising 3.6 million two-wheelers and 360,000 three-wheelers. Its new plant at Pantnagar (Uttarakhand, India) has a capacity to produce 900,000 two-wheelers. Bajaj Auto has offices in Monterrey (Mexico), Dubai and Colombo (Sri Lanka) in addition to its subsidiary PT BAI in Indonesia.
The company has a separate channel for distribution of spare parts. The channel has 73 distributors, who serve directly to approximately 15,000 retail shops across the country.

Bajaj Auto International Holdings BV (BAIH BV)
A 100% Netherlands based subsidiary of Bajaj Auto (Bajaj Auto International Holdings BV) was formed to focus on international ventures. In 2007-08, BAIH BV acquired a 24.45% equity stake in KTM Power Sports AG of Austria, a manufacturer of sport motorcycles in Europe. It offers products, such as Motocross, Supermoto, Enduro and onroad bike products like the Super Duke, and KTM.
PT Bajaj Indonesia (PT BAI)
Bajaj Auto holds 97.5% shares in PT BAI, with the balance being held by the local partner. The subsidiary assembles and markets Pulsars in Indonesia. During 2008-09, the XCD was also launched through PT BAI.
Strategic Alliances
