About DCP Midstream Partners LP

DCP Midstream Partners, LP engages in gathering, compressing, treating, processing, transporting and selling natural gas, producing, transporting, storing and selling propane in wholesale markets and transporting and selling natural gas liquids (NGLs) and condensate. DCP Midstream GP, LP serves as a general partner for the company.


The company’s operations are organized into three business segments: Natural Gas Services, Wholesale Propane Logistics, and NGL Logistics.


The Natural Gas Services segment consists of a complement of assets and ownership interests that provide wellhead to market services for its producer customers. These services include gathering, compressing, treating, processing, fractionating, transporting, and storing natural gas. The company operates in seven states in the continental United States: Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas, and Wyoming. The assets in these states include its Northern Louisiana system (including the Minden, Ada and Pelico systems), its Southern Oklahoma system (Lindsay system), its 40% equity interest in the Discovery system, its 50.1% operating interest in the East Texas system, its 70% operating interest in the Collbran system, its Douglas system, and its Michigan systems.

The Natural Gas Services segment consists of approximately 4,700 miles of pipe, 4 processing plants, 6 treating plants, and 2 NGL fractionation facilities. The processing plants that service its natural gas gathering systems include one cryogenic facility with approximately 115 MMcf/d of processing capacity, one refrigeration style facility with approximately 45 MMcf/d of processing capacity, and two cryogenic facilities, one owned by Discovery and the other by East Texas. Further, its Minden and Discovery processing facilities both have ethane rejection capabilities.

The company’s Northern Louisiana system includes its Minden, Ada and Pelico systems, which gather natural gas from producers and deliver it for processing to the processing plants. Through its Northern Louisiana system, the company offers producers and customers wellhead-to-market services. Its Northern Louisiana system has various market outlets for the natural gas the company gather, including intrastate and interstate pipelines, industrial end-users, and power plants.

The Minden processing plant is a cryogenic natural gas processing and treating plant located in Webster Parish, Louisiana. This processing plant has amine treating and ethane recovery and rejection capabilities.

The Ada gathering system is located in Bienville and Webster Parish in Louisiana and the Ada processing plant is a refrigeration natural gas processing plant located in Bienville Parish, Louisiana. This low pressure gathering system compresses and processes natural gas for its producing customers and delivers residue gas into its Pelico intrastate system. The company sells the NGLs to third-parties who truck them from the plant tailgate.

The Pelico system is an intrastate natural gas gathering and transportation pipeline that gathers and transports natural gas. Additionally, the Pelico system transports processed gas from the Minden and Ada processing plants and natural gas supplied from third party interstate and intrastate natural gas pipelines. The Pelico system also receives natural gas produced in Texas through its interconnect with other pipelines that transport natural gas from Texas into western Louisiana.

The company’s Southern Oklahoma system is located in the Golden Trend area of McClain, Garvin and Grady counties in southern Oklahoma. Natural gas gathered by the system is delivered to a DCP Midstream, LLC processing plant.

The company’s Collbran system consists of assets in the southern Piceance Basin that gather natural gas from approximately 20,000 acres in western Colorado.

The company’s Douglas system consists of approximately 1,300 miles of natural gas gathering pipelines that cover approximately 4,000 square miles in Wyoming. The system gathers primarily casing-head gas from oil wells at low pressure and delivers the gas to a third party for processing under
