The company manufactures various types of fiber cement products with various patterned profiles and surface finishes for a range of applications, including external siding and soffit lining, internal linings, facades, fencing, pipes and floor and tile underlayments.

Products

The company offers a range of fiber cement products for both exterior and interior applications. In the United States and elsewhere, its products are sold as planks or flat sheets with various patterned profiles and finishes. Outside the United States, it also manufactures fiber cement products for use in other applications, such as building facades, lattice, fencing, decorative columns, flooring, soffit lining and ceiling applications.

The company has developed a proprietary technology platform that enables it to produce thicker yet lighter-weight fiber cement products that are lighter to handle. The first application of this technology has been its Hardietrim plank. Hardietrim plank is a fiber cement trim product that is used on the exterior of residential and commercial construction to replace traditional wood and engineered wood trim. In its interior product range, its ceramic tile underlayment products provide handling and installation characteristics.

During 2009, the company introduced two new siding profiles, Beaded Porch Panel and Shingle Plank. It introduced HardieZone System siding products.

In Australia and New Zealand, new products released include Eclipsa eaves lining, Linea weatherboard and Axon cladding; in Australia, new products include Matrix cladding, Stria cladding, Axent trim, Secura Interior Flooring, Secura Exterior Flooring and EasyLap Panel; in New Zealand products include ShingleSide panel and CLD Cavity Battens, Horizon Lining and Rigid Air Barrier. In the Philippines, products released include Hardisenepa Fascia Board, Hardiplank Siding, Hardifloor Boards and Hardipattern Boards.
