Ercros SA manufactures and markets basic products for the chemical, pharmaceutical, plastics, swimming pool water treatment, and animal feed sectors. The company operates through seven divisions: Basic Chemicals, Intermediate Chemicals, Plastics, Pharmaceuticals, Animal Feed, Emulsions, and Water Treatment. The Basic Chemicals division offers chlorine, ethyl acetate, caustic soda, sodium hypochlorite, dichloroethane, chloromethanes, sodium chlorate, and caustic potash products for chemical, pharmaceutical, paper bleaching, solvent production, and water treatment applications. It also offers salts for industrial uses. The Intermediate Chemicals division produces formaldehyde and derivatives, such as paraformaldehyde, pentaerythritol, phenolic resins, molding compounds, glues, and resins for the fibreboard and plywood industries. The Plastics division manufactures vinyl chloride to manufacture PVC; and polyvinyl chloride with applications in the construction, automotive, and textile sectors, as well as in packaging for the food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical industries. The Pharmaceuticals division produces pharmaceutical raw materials and intermediate products, which include erythromycins, phosphomycin, and statins, as well as offers contract and toll manufacturing of APIs and intermediates for other pharmaceutical companies. The Animal Feed division offers phosphates, such as dicalcium and monocalcium phosphates that are used as additives to manufacture supplements and compound fodder products. The Emulsions division produces and markets styrene-acrylic, vinylic, and acrylic emulsions.
