Petrochemical-grade ASA uses silica sol (or water glass) and sodium aluminate/aluminum sulfate as co-precipitation precursors. The process involves acid-alkali co-flow precipitation, aging, filtration, drying, and calcination at 600 °C before shaping. In the raw material cost, water glass accounts for 35–40%, aluminum sulfate for 20–25%, acid (H?SO?) and alkali (NaOH) for 10%, energy consumption (drying + calcination) for 15%, and labor and environmental treatment costs for 10–15%.
