Global Natural Inositol Market 2026 by Manufacturers, Regions, Type and Application, Forecast to 2032
According to our (Global Info Research) latest study, the global Natural Inositol market size was valued at US$ 136 million in 2025 and is forecast to a readjusted size of US$ 212 million by 2032 with a CAGR of 6.4% during review period.
In 2025, sales of natural inositol reached 12,568 tons, with an average price of US$10,523 per ton.
Natural inositol refers to inositol (mainly myo-inositol) obtained from animal and plant tissues or their byproducts through hydrolysis (enzymatic) extraction and purification, as opposed to "synthetic inositol." Its core source is phytic acid (inositol hexaphosphate) from plants, which can reach 4-6% in rice bran, corn soaking water, wheat bran, etc. Free inositol is obtained through high-pressure hydrolysis or targeted enzymatic hydrolysis, followed by decolorization, ion exchange, concentration, and crystallization to obtain the final product. The product appears as a white crystalline powder with a slightly sweet taste. Its molecular formula is C?H??O?, melting point is 225 °C, and its solubility in water is 143 g L?? (19 °C). It is a natural water-soluble carbohydrate, previously classified as vitamin B8, but because it can be synthesized from glucose in the human kidneys, liver, and brain, it is not an essential vitamin.
Natural inositol uses crude phytic acid (containing 40%–50% inositol hexaphosphate) extracted from defatted rice bran or corn soaking water as its core raw material. This is achieved through hot water hydrolysis at 190–230 °C and 20–28 kg cm??, or targeted enzymatic hydrolysis, followed by ion exchange decolorization, desalting, concentration, and crystallization to obtain the final product. The raw material cost comprises 35%–40% for phytic acid/soaking water, 20% for steam and electricity consumption, 15% for acids, alkalis, resins, and other auxiliary materials, and 25% for labor, environmental protection, and packaging.
