Market Research of Aluminium Sulphate in China
Aluminium sulphate is an inorganic chemical, widely used as water purifying agent and industrial raw material in China. China’s papermaking, industrial wastewater treatment, water purification for residential and industrial uses, sanitary wastewater treatment, and speciality paper industries, etc. consumed 1,400,000 tonnes of aluminium sulphate in 2017. Most of the aluminium sulphate consumed in China was in solid form, accounted for 81.52%.
The first quality standard for aluminium sulphate in China was issued in 1970s. Currently, the most commonly adopted national standard for aluminium sulphate is HG/T 2225-2010 issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. A few national or industrial standards for aluminium sulphate are also in effect.
Aluminium sulphate for industrial use can be categorised into liquid aluminium sulphate and solid aluminium sulphate according to its properties. There various production methods for each type of aluminium sulphate including normal pressure reaction method, pressurised reaction method and ATH decomposing method. The production cost of aluminium sulphate varied by production method, raw material and product grade, which can be broke down into equipment capital, running capital, staff pay, production cost, and waste treatment costs. In 2017, the annual average cost of operating a 10,000 t/a aluminium sulphate production line ranged from USD3,430,607.63 to USD3,696,607.63 varied by product grades.
