In terms of policy, the Management Committee of Jilin Baicheng Industrial Park revealed the draft Industrial Planning of Jilin Baicheng
Chemical Industrial Park (2020–2035). One of the key projects in the chemical park is the '10,000 t/a isosorbide project'.
In the export market, in May 2023, China exported 19,859.05 tonnes of sorbitol to 68 countries and regions, amounting to USD16,925,607.
In the first six months of 2023, a total of 115,348.30 tonnes of sorbitol valued at USD100,233,295 was exported to 96 countries and
regions.
