The company provides its clients staffing services and solutions through four segments: Technology, Finance and Accounting, Health and Life Sciences, and Government Solutions.

Technology (Tech) segment

The company’s Tech personnel provide both temporary staffing and search placement services to its clients focusing primarily on more areas of information technologies. The company’s Tech segment provides service to clients with a footprint in healthcare, financial services and government integrators. Additionally, its Tech segment includes the results of Kforce Global Solutions, Inc. (Global), a wholly-owned subsidiary. Global provides information technology outsourcing solutions internationally through two offices located in the Philippines.

Finance and Accounting (FA) segment

The company’s FA personnel provide both temporary staffing and search placement services to its clients in areas, such as: taxation, budget preparation and analysis, financial reporting, cost analysis, accounts payable, accounts receivable, professional administrative, credit and collections, general accounting, audit services, and systems and controls analysis and documentation to support compliance work under Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. The company’s FA segment provides service to clients with a footprint in financial services and government integrators.

Health and Life Sciences (HLS) segment

HLS segment includes its Clinical Research and Healthcare specialties and provides both temporary staffing and search placements services to its clients. These categories primarily consist of clinical research associates for the pharmaceutical industry and health care information management professionals for hospitals and healthcare facilities.

Government Solutions (GS) segment

GS segment provides Tech and FA professionals to the Federal Government, primarily as a prime contractor. GS also serves as a subcontractor to prime contractors. This segment has access to significant government contracts. All GS services are supplied to the Federal Government through field offices located in the Washington D.C. and San Antonio, Texas areas. Kforce organizes and manages its FA and Tech business units along regional market lines: Atlantic, North and western markets.

Flex and Search

Kforce’s staffing services consist of Flex and search (Search).

Flex: The company provides its clients with qualified individuals (consultants) on a temporary basis when it is determined that the consultants have the appropriate skills and experience and are ‘the right match’ for its clients.

Search: The Search business involves locating qualified individuals (candidates) for permanent placement with its clients. The company primarily performs these searches on a contingency basis. The company recruits permanent employees from its Flex consultant population, from the job boards, from its associates’ networks and from passive candidates the company identifies who are employed and not actively seeking another position. Kforce targets clients and recruits for both Flex and Search services.
