24 Jan 2011 • by Natalie Aster
A Middle Eastern producer announced their February offers for both PP and PE to the Malaysian market this week. The producer’s February offer levels mark increases from their January offers for both PP and PE, with the producer attributing the rise in their offer levels to firming regional trends along with higher feedstock prices.
In the PP market, the producer announced their February offers for homo-PP with increases of $50-60/ton from January, bringing their new offer levels to $1520-1530/ton for homo-PP injection and raffia and to $1540-1550/ton for PP film, all on a CIF Malaysia, cash basis. The producer predicted that PP prices would remain on a firming trend over the next month.
