Guillermo Novo to Lead Dow Polyurethanes

The Dow Chemical Company has appointed Guillermo Novo vice president of Dow Polyurethanes, a global business group that includes the Propylene Oxide, Propylene Glycol, Isocyanates and Polyols businesses. In his new assignment, Novo also takes on the role of global business director for Dow Polyols.
"Guillermo's vast global experience makes him well qualified to take the helm at Dow Polyurethanes," said Jim McIlvenny, senior vice president, Dow Performance Products. "A 24-year veteran of the chemical industry, Guillermo has worked in many regions, with diverse customers and a broad range of products. His role is to seamlessly combine the best interests of our customers with the best strategy for growing Dow's market leadership position in the polyurethanes business space."
Novo joined Dow when the Company acquired Rohm and Haas in April 2009. He succeeds Pat Dawson, who has been named President of the Asia Pacific and India regions for Dow.
