INEOS ChlorVinyls to Boost Caustic Soda Price, Effective Jan 2010
26 Nov 2010 • by Natalie Aster
INEOS ChlorVinyls has today announced a price increase of Euro 80 per dry metric tonne on Quarter One 2010 caustic soda contracts.
This increase is in response to the declining return on the electro-chemical unit and the shortage of caustic soda availability as both economic and operational issues affect production.
The new prices are effective for contract business from 1st January 2010; for new or non-contract business they are effective immediately.
INEOS ChlorVinyls is one of the major chlor-alkali producers in Europe, a global leader in chlorine derivatives and Europe's largest PVC manufacturer. The Company consists of two distinct legal entities, INEOS Chlor and INEOS Vinyls, directed under a single management organisation.
