BASF: ASA/PA Blend Introduced
02 Nov 2010 • by Natalie Aster
BASF (Ludwigshafen / Germany; www.basf.com) has added a blend of ASA (acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylate-copolymer) and PA to its “Terblend N” product range. The company says Terblend N BX 13043 (ASA/PA) has several advantages over the Terblend N blend of ABS and PA, including a pleasant feel, good acoustic properties and an ability to precisely replicate mould surfaces.
The new material is also very impact resistant and easy to process, and can be used in the automotive, household and gardening sectors, for example, without being coated.
