Arkema Increases its Evatane® EVA Copolymer Prices

Arkema announces a €50/MT price increase in Europe for its entire Evatane® (High Content Ethylene Vinyl Acetate Copolymer) range from November 2009. Price increases will also be implemented in the other regions of the world, and will be notified by our local salesforce.

Throughout 2009 raw material costs have increased several months in succession, whereas the EVA market has seen its prices eroded. This latest price increase has become necessary to restore margins.

Marketed under the tradename Evatane®, Arkema's EVA products are used in highly diverse industrial applications, including hotmelt, cable, multilayer packaging film, technical polymer modification, solar panel, petroleum additives, bitumen and ink.
