Tianjin Ethylene Plant to Commence Full Operations in November

China Petroleum & Chemical Corp. and Saudi Basic Industries Corp. are currently testing equipment at an ethylene plant in Tianjin and will start "full operations" in November. A 50-50 joint venture between SABIC and Sinopec, the plant has been planned with capacity to produce 4 mln tpa of petrochemicals, including 1.2 mln tons of ethylene when it comes onstream in September.
