Chemical Processing Identifies Top 50 Chemical Companies Worth Watching

22 Jan 2009 • by Natalie Aster

Chemical Processing recently published the Chemical Processing 50 (CP 50) - the first of an annual list of the top 50 domestic Chemical Processing companies existing today. Different from any other annual list, throughout the year, Chemical Processing will continue to monitor the success and report on these top 50 in terms of their investments in technology, changes in management, and introduction of a new product or service.

"We developed the CP 50 to both recognize and acknowledge the tremendous commitment today's U.S.-based chemical processors have to advancing their manufacturing through technology and innovation," Mark Rosenzweig, editor in chief of Chemical Processing stated. "And, we believe that other chemical processors can learn from these successes. The CP 50 not only identifies the leaders as they exist today, throughout the year we will continue to follow and report on just how well these companies continue to innovate."

Hand-picked by the Chemical Processing editorial team, the CP 50 is comprised of major companies that manufacture chemicals as well as important firms that make related products using unit operations and other chemical processing technology and includes such industry giants as Dow Chemical Co., ExxonMobil Chemical Co. and Bayer Corp. The CP 50 provides details on why a particular company has been chosen as well as details on the leaders driving the company's innovation efforts. The full CP 50 can be found online at http://www.chemicalprocessing.com/cp50 .

Monthly, Chemical Processing will publish a CP 50 eNewsletter - Insights From The CP 50 - to monitor and report on these companies' on-going innovation efforts and how they are performing throughout the year.
