Snapware Debuts Smart Store®, Heavy-Duty Modular Storage Containers

MIRA LOMA, Calif. -- Snapware® Corp., a leading food and home storage container manufacturer, is unveiling Smart Store®, a heavy-duty, modular storage container system which has been designed to work with standard shelf depths.

Smart Store containers are made from high-impact polypropylene and incorporate a newly-developed additive which significantly enhances durability. Additionally, popular sizes come with carrying handles for easy portability.

In addition to being manufactured from heavy duty resin, Smart Store features snap-lock latches for ultimate security, reinforced corners to prevent splitting/ cracking and a wide rim which makes it easy to carry.

To ensure performance deliverables, Smart Store containers were subjected to rigorous weighted drop and impact tests. The end result is a confidence-building 10-year warranty which is touted on the label. The packaging also proudly displays a "Made In USA" logo.

At the core of Snapware's Smart Store system are container sizes based on standard shelf depths. These modular units help consumers maximize shelf space in the most efficient way possible.

The system is based on six different footprints (10-, 12-, 14-, 16-, 18-, 20-inches), which coincide with standard shelf depths. (Matching lids also use the same inch identification system.) Widths vary from 8- to 16 inches and heights range from 3- to 12-inches, depending on the depth chosen. The system has a total of 15 sizes, all designed to save space by stacking modularly.

"Coming up with an easy-to-use sizing method was only part of the solution. The other thing research told us is that consumers felt that most storage containers currently on the market did not meet their performance requirements," Heidi Slocumb, director of marketing says. "They were not engineered to survive the rigors of usage over a long period of time. Moreover, a 2008 Housewares Census from a leading industry publication shows that 65% of consumers rank quality and performance as the most important factor when purchasing storage products."

Smart Store comes in clear or black, with custom colors available for seasonal or large volume orders. The line comes with color-coded packaging which creates an easy-to-understand size selection environment. Optional point-of-purchase signage is also available.
