LONDON – The total value of the 3,036 road construction projects tracked by Timetric’s CIC from pole to pole is estimated at USD 2.23 trillion. Of this, USD 1.16 trillion is in the execution phase; and USD 573.5 billion is at the planning stage.

APAC accounts for the biggest value of USD 1.24 trillion, with Europe following after with a value of USD 462.7 billion. The Americas’ road projects are valued at USD 315.2 billion, whilst the Middle East and Africa pipeline is worth USD 212.0 billion.

All in all, the project pipeline equals to more than 312,000 kilometres of roads projects, comprising 181,493 kilometres in APAC alone. The biggest projects presently in execution are the USD 80.0 billion Fuzhou to Taipei Highway: Taiwan Strait Tunnel project in China and India’s USD 71.0 billion National Highway Development Program.
