China Sewage Treatment Industry Performance Discussed by CRI in Its New Report Available at MarketPublishers.com

04 Aug 2017 • by Natalie Aster

LONDON – Urbanization in China accelerates along with the development of the country’s economy. In late 2016, the country’s urban population reached 793 million, accounting for slightly over 57% of the total population. Key sources of municipal sewage is domestic sewage, that is characterised by large discharge, however low treatment efficiency.

Sewage discharge in China has kept increasing for many years, and in 2016 surpassed 75 billion tonnes. Domestic sewage discharge grabbed a share of more than 70%, whilst the growth rate of industrial discharge has declined.

Today, the sewage treatment rate stands at more than 90% in the Chinese developed cities. However, in the central and western regions of the country the sewage treatment efficiency is generally low, and a treatment rate stands at less than 80%.

China’s government has issued special policies to regulate strictly the sewage treatment industry. However, the country’s municipal sewage discharge continues increasing along with the rapid urbanisation; this trend will maintain through 2021.

The new research report “Research Report on China Sewage Treatment Industry, 2017-2021” prepared by China Research and Intelligence Co. (CRI) offers access to reliable data on the Chinese sewage treatment industry performance. It touches upon the prevailing trends, uncovers updated statistics, features the market dynamics and examines the main factors shaping the country’s sewage treatment market. Besides, the report highlights the policies introduced by the country’s government in this field, touches upon the competitive landscape, identifies the emerging opportunities, describes the economic environment and characterizes the competitive scenario.  It also discusses the key challenges and threats of the Chinese sewage treatment industry and gives a comprehensive future outlook up to 2021.
