Global Glass Packaging Market to See Sales Growth, Expects Euromonitor in Its Report Available at MarketPublishers.com

LONDON – Sales of glass were static over the period 2013-2015, but expansion in the consumption of consumer foods is set to drive growth of sales in the years to come.

The demand for premium product is currently on the rise, and this has led to an increase in the consumption of otherwise unaffordable products.

APAC dominates key market categories like carbonates, dairy and beer. China is the number one player in the region. Growth is expected to come from such countries as Thailand, Turkey and Mexico.

At present, alcoholic drinks represent the major contributor to the sales volume of glass packaging. They are set to maintain this position in the years to come. The demand for premium beer together with innovations taking place in the packaging of spirits will also support the demand growth.

Growing interest in healthier and safer packaging ignites the demand for glass, too.

Strong returnable systems existing in many countries help glass to keep its position in soft drinks.

The research report “Global Glass Packaging: Opportunities and Challenges across Food and Drinks” drawn up by Euromonitor International offers a comprehensive discussion of the world’s glass marketplace, with special attention being paid to the food and drinks segment. The study contains a 360-degree overview of the industry (as of 2015). It pinpoints sectors set to show growth in the offing.

The report casts light on opps and challenges this market has. The research study looks at major market categories and focuses on consumer trends. It covers leading pack types and estimates a size of the marketplace, with historical and forecast data included. Future market outlook is in hand in the research report, too.
