LONDON – The high net worth individual (HNWI) population in the USA surged by 2.8% in 2014, with their combined wealth standing at USD 20.5 trillion. The country’s HNWIs held USD 4.9 trillion (or 23.7%) of their wealth outside their native country. Over the forecast period, the number the HNWIs is projected to increase by 8.6% to reach 6,038,381 in 2019; the wealth of these individuals is poised to surge by 27.7% to amount to USD 27.7 trillion.

The US HNWIs kept the biggest portion (41.2%) of their foreign assets in Europe in 2014.
