Netflix and CBS Entered into a Partnership Agreement

LONDON – Netflix Inc. and CBS Corp signed a partnership agreement in September, 2015. Accordig to this agreement Netflix became the exclusive subscription streaming home of drama television series “Zoo” and satirical romantic comedy-drama television series “Jane The Virgin” in over fifty countries.

Netflix, Inc. is recognised as the world top Internet television network with more than 65 million members in over 50 countries enjoying about 100 million hours of movies and TV shows every day (including documentaries, feature films and original series). Netflix obtains content from different studios as well as other content providers through fixed-fee licenses, direct purchases and revenue sharing agreements. Netflix was founded by Marc Randolph and Wilmot Reed Hastings Jr. in 1997 and is headquartered in Los Gatos, CA.

As of FY 2014, Netflix, Inc. saw its revenues jump by 25.83% to USD 5,504.7 million. The company’s operating income registered significant growth (by over 98%) in the same FY and reached USD 402.6 million against USD 203.2 million in FY 2013. The company’s net income increased from USD 112.4 million in FY 2013 to USD 266.8 million in FY 2014. Gross profit margin stayed steady at the healthy 39.33%.
