China Consumer Software Industry Players Examined in New AMID Report Now Available at

14 Oct 2015 • by Natalie Aster

LONDON – Over the last two decades, the consumer software industry has been witnessing rapid growth owing to high demand from downstream software user groups and the government, along with solid price levels. This industry's development has also been underpinned and encouraged by the country’s government and, in particular, its No. 4 document release, which laid out a set of policies favouring the software and electronic industry development.

Although China has reaped the benefits of a growing market for production and distribution, the industry is suffering from low levels of innovation and investment in R&D and minimal new product development. Economies of scale in the consumer software sector have yet to be achieved. The majority local manufacturers lack the autonomic intellectual property and financial resources to develop their own brand-name products.

New research report “Consumer Software Companies in China” worked out by Asia Market Information & Development Co (AMID) is aimed at assessing China’s consumer software industry along with providing profiles of the top consumer software manufacturers.

The report presents an in-depth assessment of the up-to-the-minute government regulations, unbiased market information and industry data. It offers a comprehensive analysis of the industry structure, market sizing, production capacities and output. The study presents deep insights into the Chinese and overseas companies, their production facilities and sales volumes; gives data on labour costs; reviews potential entrants and major distributors; gives data on market shares of the leading producers. Insights into major foreign investments and technological advancements are given in the report, too.
